Hello,
 
I'm new to the Alembic community.  I was given a five string 1990 Spoiler,in very good almost excellent condition,a few weeks ago. I didn't realize what I had until about a week later when I started reseaching the bass on the internet. What a blessing!!!  I'm a beginner so hopefully I've got some music in me.  Peace.

1jamjam - you lucky man and a 5 stringer, welcome to our elite place.
To be given an Alembic to learn on instead of the really bad beginner basses most of us learnt on is a truly amazing gift. I am afraid you will find all other basses pale into insignificance.

Welcome Byron,  You not only have a fine bass - you have a great community along with it. Many of us have more the one Alembic but you are the first I've heard of who was given one.
