Hi there!
Anyone willing to sell their spare (well functional) DS 5 at a reasonable price?

Have you considered building one? They can be done for cheaper than that.

Edwin:

I'm looking for one too and wouldn't mind taking a shot at building one.  Do you have a schematic or know of a source?

Edwin,

I would also love to build my own power supply. It would save me the trouble of bringing my rack to the rehearsal studio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pete

I knew my memory wasn't playing tricks on me!

So, after a little research I can now quote Dave:

I think this is the same guy who offered the DS-5 on Craigslist for $300.  I e-mailed him offering $200.  He answered that he has $275 into it.  Soon thereafter it appears on eBay.  I'll be chasing this, but not much over $200.  I suspect his reserve is above that.

I just checked back in. I'm on the road now, and will be back home next week, so if anyone wants more info, please feel free to email me and I'll get back to you when I can. It's a simple circuit. What really makes the Alembic ones nice are the parts, the case and the supreme care that goes into making them.
