At least once before it was reported that Alembic occasionally would have a supply of cosmetic seconds that could be purchased for $50 each. That was over a year ago, if not two, so the current price might is probably a bit higher if any are available. I would ask Mica if they have anything lying around that you could acquire at a reasonable/bargain price.

I have already requested it personally, and asked to have some put aside - as they don't turn up everyday...
Will call again soon, anyway.

cool! let me know if you come across one. it would be to switch out with my fatboy. just want to try it and see-i really like the smooth shiny sound of mxy and axy pickups. the fatboy is great though-a very useful bridge pickup. it stands up very well to the neck pickup.
