Hello Don,
Welcome to the club. A new case from Alembic is rather costly. You can get many after market cases in gig bags, hard shell or even road type flight cases, although the later will probably cost you more than the factory hard shell. I went to Guitar Center and got a Coffin case for my Epic. Fits nice, looks as special as the guitar, and was under $90 bucks! For a little more cash you can get a lot more choices in case design. Expect to pay around $120.00 for a first rate hard shell case with a plush interior and a compartment for a strap. Here's a pic of the coffin case:

Welcome, Don. Have you tried www.finecases.com ? It's a neat website with ALOT of different cases in many price ranges. Hope this helps.....
Chris
Correction: there is 'much' money to be made above the fifth fret....

Another endorsement for the coffin case.  Fits an Epic like it's custom.  It's what GC was put on earth for.
