I want to buy an Alembic Exploiter for my 46th birthday - Any help is appreciated. -Eric

There is a black Distillate Exploiter on eBay right now.
Not much to look at, but the price is good.

the serial number is a bit confusing... most likely it should read 83D2766, and the bass is a 1983 Distillate. the seller stated the # to be 88D2766, but that wouldn't comply with the Alembic # nomenclature, and he also said he bought the bass in '83 or '84... anyway, good luck with your quest and welcome to the club !

Thanks for the posts and the welcome - I saw it on ebay but do not like that it is all black - I would like one where you can see the go-though neck which makes these bass guitars so beautiful!!

I like the part in the Q & A where he says it's body through neck. Hmm, does that mean set neck?

the one for sale in the sale/trade section looks amazing!

They dont get much better than that and the price is right!
