DS-5 Needed
« on: July 01, 2008, 12:37:57 PM »
Im Michael Doc Ray. I'm a(n Alembic) bassist in Redwood City, CA.

I play custom fretted and fretless Alembic 5 strings. Both Alembics are powered via an outboard DS-5. It's located on a pedalboard along with various stomp boxes.

Here's my problem: I designed a very nice new pedalboard. A guy in New York built it. He placed my pedals, and the DS-5 on the new board. He shipped it to me via FedEx. FedEx lost the board!

So, I need at least one replacement DS-5. Mica suggested that I use this discussion group.

Does someone have a DS-5 they're wiliing sell?

Doc,

I don't have a DS-5 to offer you, but welcome aboard and happy hunting... they do show up here occasionally and I've seen several change hands through this forum over the last couple of years.

Hi Doc; welcome to the board.  I went to your Tres Mojo band site; you have a pretty cool bio!  And I'm listening to the tunes now; real nice!

Thanks to all for the welcoming remarks.

I have good news. Fedex located my pedalboard in a dusty corner of their facility at the Oakland airport. They finally delivered my board with everything intact yesterday!

But, I still want to search for another DS-5. I'd also be interested in a hobby box, as Mica called it. (It's a less elegantly constructed, and smaller, version of a DS-5, usually only mono.) So, if anyone has a lead on these items, I'd appreciate a shout.

I would imagine that there may be a few members here who would like to see pics of your board, if you are so inclined.
