I'm guessing a power coupling, and given the available information, I would choose a port power coupling over a starboard one, just in case your band comes under attack.  Hope that helps.

I've always thought the spelling of that device to be tricorder; a useful tool for testing the wiring at some of the more suspect bar stages.

There's one on ebay right now. You might also be able to build one. I've built a few and they are fairly simple (although the usual caveats involving AC current apply).

I would love to have the schematic for a DS5. Finding one used can be difficult and I could really use one so I don't have to bring my full rack to rehearsal.
