Bob,

They do pop up on occasion, but they're getting rarer and rarer.

I do know that Alembic has done some pickups lately in custom colors, so you may well be able to contact them for a set of new pickups in that old caramel color.  Probably pricey, but possible.

Danke!
Perhaps I should qualify that I am not so much looking for a brown pickup as much as the trapazoidal pickup underneath
Trying to Alembisize an old Guild Starfire.
Have an SF2 that I'll probably cannibalize one side of ( I run it mono in my rack )
Are the Series II electronics / filters equivelent?

Underneath? Sounds like you're thinking of the guts under the cover, not the whole pickup.  Trouble is, Alembic p/ups are cast; there is no cover.

Evidently the earliest Alembics were trap shaped. Later as you pointed out, they were cast, still, trap pickup within the body.
I am also looking for an Alembic 4 string bridge and tailpiece.....I sure am needy, ain't I

IIRC, the earliest were trapazoidal magnets & coils, in trap castings, like this or this; then trap innards in rectangular castings; then all rect.  If you're thinking of the traps where you can see the guts, those were cast in see-through ...resin?  epoxy?....stuff.
I know we have folks here who have each of those, so I'm sure they'll chime in.
