You will have to be patient if its only a short scale Spoiler for which you are looking. I've seen a few out there over the past 7 years. They are, however, rare compared to longer scale Spoilers and have therefore commanded higher prices than say a medium scale version.
Have you had the chance to play an Alembic? They play so easily compared to other basses. When I purchased my first I ended up buying a long scale that was advertised as a medium scale model. I didn't even notice it until I took out a tape measure before purchasing my first set of new strings for the bass. What I'm suggesting, if you haven't already played one, is to try out a medium scale Alembic because if it works for you it will be easier and cheaper to find that Spoiler.
