has anyone seen the series1 copy on uk eabay its made by fernandes and i know they shouldnt be touched but it does look as if some time and efforts gone into it,the seller says that alembic stopped them being sold in the 80s through legal action,does anyone know if theres any truth in it.the guys not trying to say its a real alembic ,in fact quite the opposite.

We've never found the need to sue anybody, so the seller is mistaken. We did invite Fernandes to stop violating our tradmarks (like the peghead shape, oval inlays and bird tailpiece), and I believe they found the project unprofitable after that.

thanks for that i thought it was someone trying to jazz it up for a sale.could you give me a rough idea on the cost of a new sc signature and mk signature as ive just been paid out the insurance after my lovely mk signature was stolen from my van and im looking to replace it soon but unfortunatly here in the uk there isnt a lot on the market many thanks.
