and here again, another. The selector switch is missing as you can see. It just slowly got more and more play in it as the years went by, till it finally turned 360 degrees without turning the shaft, so off it came. The finish has some checking, of course, after 25 years, and there are a few scratches here and there...mostly on the back. But I have babied it pretty well and it is still a solid fine instrument. I cannot play any longer, and I wont let it gather dust. I would rather to try to sell it here than on E-bay, because I think most of the folks that gather here get what Alembic is all about.

A beautiful bass at a very attractive price.  I just cannot play one of these large bassees.  I am only 5'5, so it is small bodies for me.  I think you will have no trouble getting what you are asking.

I just LOVE that finish on that bass.  I hope it never gets refinished.

Here is what I have learned from the good people at Alembic regarding my instrument; Schedua top and back, Maple/purpleheart neck, Ebony fretboard, Zebrawood veneer peghead, Chrome Schaller tuners, Mother of Pearl oval inlays. My God....it's magnificent!

O.K. then, I'll split the shipping cost as well. U.P.S. standard is between 60.00 and 100.00 Canadian depending on where in the United states it is going, or I'll split the cost of the super-duper-expidited delivery, whatever the buyer prefers.

There seems to be some discontent from the people who have expressed interest privately to me on this regarding the missing cord, pickup selector, and cover plate. I made a few inquiries and determined that the price of these items, all new, and direct from Alembic, is around 250$.  Soooo.... in lieu of including these items with the bass, I am re-offering this bass for 1750$ as is. And I am afraid this is as low as she goes. I have lots of close ups, and will disclose all info good and bad.
