'89 Stanley Clarke Deluxe FS
« on: March 23, 2004, 10:44:15 PM »
I'm thinking of selling my '89 Stanley Clarke.  If I do I'm going to ask around $2200 for it.  Anyone interested.  Here's a couple of pictures:

Tim,

Nice looking bass you have there.  Cocobolo top/back, yes? Why are you considering letting her go?

I noticed that she has a five pin jack but no dummy pup.  Does she have series or sig elecs?

Take care,
Kevin

 Hi Kevin,

The original owner not only added a second battery with a switch that allows you to toggle between the two (thus never having a battery die mid gig), but he also added the electronics to use an external power supply rather than a battery. This power supply is a Boss unit. I've never even unwrapped it as the batteries have always done fine for me.

I believe it is rosewood. Thinking of selling to pay off some debt - this is an ongoing process.

Tim:
Once again your excellent taste in basses is apparent.  If I had the $, I would buy from you again in a heartbeat.

Joe

P.S. I still love the Elan.

Hi Joe,

Thanks, Joe - very kind of you to say so. Really glad to hear your still loving that Elan - that was an incredibly sweet Alembic!

Take care - was nice to hear from you.

What a beautiful bass.  I especially like the back up battery idea, brilliant.
Good luck Tim.

If someone else expresses further interest it should jump.  That $1540 must be your reserve, since I know that the bid was at $1K before the last bid that's there (The $1K was my bid!).  Who knows how high the current bidder is willing to go....

Good luck!

Looks like you went from $500 less than you were asking to $500 more.  Hard to beat that.

Congratulations on a successful auction, assuming your eBayer is no deadbeat, of course.
