Hi Guys,
As much as I hate to part with this beautiful instrument, after a year and a half I realize that this body size and scale length is a little big for me. All my other basses are long scale, but since the body styles are much smaller, first position reach is not as far out. The only thought that keeps me going now is that as soon as I sell this baby, I will start the process for another custom Alembic, probably a Stanley Clark Signature.
Anyway, enough rambling...here are the specs for Lyric:
Mark King Deluxe 5-String Bass
S/N: 02MK12855 USA
Birth Date: 08/30/2002
Triple Omega Heart w/ pistol grip Body Style
Boby: Mahogany w/ Maple accents
Laminate: Coco Bolo Top & Back
Body Depth: 1.5?
Fingerboard: ebony, Fretted
Neck thru body: 4 maple & 3 purplehart laminates
Neck Shape: Asymmetrical oval
Scale: 34
Dual truss rods
Inlays: Abalone
Finish: high gloss polyester, satin neck
Pickups: AXY56
Controls: vol, pan, low-pass filter w/ q switch x2
Side-mounted input jack
Tailpiece: solid brass, bird
Machine heads: gold Alembic-Gotoh
This is an amazing sounding bass (as I know all Amembics are). She is in new condition; the only slight flaw is a scuff mark on the brass truss rod cover where my thumb hits it while slapping...but I am ordering a new truss rod cover from Alembic to put her back in perfect condition.
Will be posting her on ebay in a few days...but wanted to start her off here with family.

P.S. And yes...I did name my bass Lyric...so this is not an easy decision to part with her. I believe parting w/ my first wife was less stressful than this one.
