Exploiter playing position
« on: February 14, 2009, 08:25:40 AM »
There have been threads about the neck dive on the Exploiter body, I have a Spoiler Exploiter, problem I have is trying to get a comfortable playing position while standing.. I don't have a neck dive problem, what I do have is keeping the bass stable and flat to my body. The bass wants to twist downward, I don't have a large beer gut so that's not the problem, my Distillate does not have this problem. Any suggestions?

Peculiar.  My Spoiler Exploiter hangs very well.  Try a higher placement of the bass while still comfortablr to play.  Low slung may be cause.

Mine hangs very well also but I use a 4 wide leather strap which helps keep it in place. I do know what you mean about it not resting flat against your body. Mine kind of swivels on my hip but I never noticed it as a real impediment though....

It's not an impediment, you really only notice it when you play another bass and then switch back to the Exploiter. Did not notice it when I was using the Exploiter all the time, but I switched to my Distillate and Status for a few months, took the Exploiter and noticed the difference. The 4 strap sounds like a good idea. Doing additional research I guess this is common, specially with the Thunderbird basses
