Jimmy Johnson Signature Deluxe 5 For Sale!

Sorry guys.  Apparently I did not have enough perspective on the other signature models to generalize the way I did.  I got thinking of the Signature (MK and SC) models that way when I was planning my bass.  If you don't mind me asking, Mik, what are each of the controls on your bass?

BTW Pace, it sounds like you are customizing off the Essence model.  What will your bass be like?

One of my thoughts is to build an Essence 5 string with Ebony lams and, perhaps a custom body shape (or another balance K).  I use my SF-2 all the time anyway - so I ask myself why invest in putting more filters onboard?

It looks like staight anniversary electronics.  A pickup selector, a set of vol/filter/Q switch for each pickup, and a stereo/mono output switch.

It looked that way to me too, but I am learning not to rely on my assumptions... (LOL)

Yes, 20th Anniversary electronics. Again, the other page referred to in the link at the head of this thread has a detailed discussion of the features on this bass - the first pic makes mention of 20th Anniversary Electronics and then, further down, I go on to discuss the likenesses with and differences to the other signature models, including saying that one of the several ways this bass differs a little from the SC and MK Sigs is that it has the 20th Anniversary and not Signature electronics. So bsee is right and bassman, your assumption was a goodie too in this instance!

Looks like the bass is sold now too, so thanks to everyone for all your interest!

I still have a Jaydee Supernatural fretted 4, Curbow XT-33 fretted 6 and a Turner Renaissance RB5-FL fretless 5 to dipose of so drop me a line if interested. Thanks.

Bill, I dont want to digress too much on Mik's thread (everything about your JJ sig is beautiful, btw). I hope someone else in the club can pick her up.

.... Anyways, here's whats in the works:

-30.75 6string, 7piece ebony/purpleheart neck tuned E-A-D-G-B-E, oval inlays, crown headstock.
-SC body w/ flame maple/p.h./mahogany/p.h./flame maple construction.
-Essence electronics w/Q switch, TRS loop (for that SF-2 & some other stuff), and a pair of FatBoys.

Adding the ebony lams & changing the body style can go a long way on an Essence (if you dont need everything onboard, that is!)....
