FOR SALE: Alembic 1974 Series #1 Fretless
« on: October 20, 2004, 04:17:24 PM »
Hi everyone - I'm looking to sell my Alembic 1974 Series #1 Bass. Here's the rundown - Fretless (All Original! NOT a fretless coversion!). 34 Scale. Interesting custom hardware, control cover plates etc. (Back plate has an Eagle in space w/ a ruby jewel for the eagle's eye!). Smaller backplate incoperates a 1910 US dime. Rick Turner told me that all the metal work on this (except the Schallar tuning keys) was custom done by someone named Jack The Jeweler. Perhaps someone
here knows more about that? This bass is really interesting, super clean and (most importantly) plays great. W/PWR Supply and OHSC. If it's a
Fretless Alembic you want, this is it. Email for more info. Asking $4,500. gldprod@earthlink.net Thanks!

Good grief! What a cool bass! I like that a bunch.  What is going on with the upper strap button?  Not that I am going to purchase another bass, but I am curious.

I really like the detail of the bridge and sustain block.
