What is the extra switch on the front panel for?  How come two five pin jacks?  Curiouser and curiouser . . .  Double tapped for two basses?  Cool!  Almost hit the buy it now, but . . . 40 volts?  Not today.

I do, however, like the animal pictures - cute kitty!

the 40 volt rating is just what my tester tells me...one lead puts out 20+ volts to ground and the other puts out 20- volts to ground. testing accross the two gets 40. i called alembic about it, but they're just now tooling up to post pdf manuals and spec sheets and the guy i talked to didn't know the specs. i'm sure it puts out what it's supposed to because the ratings are consistent. and yeah, it has dual inputs with the horizontal toggle switching from right to left inputs(both are stereo and powered from the same points internally). clean as a whistle...thanks!

I already took the item - I tested my blue box (#332 which came with 76AC070) and the voltages DO match. Just posting this as an FYI for future reference.

Hey Chris.  Enjoy.  I have one, so I did not pursue this aggressively.  I did not figure it would last long, if the voltages were correct.  Neat addition to it.  I might do this to mine.  Glad a member here got it!

I hope I'm wrong but the item description follows the reported theft in Bellingham
http://club.alembic.com/Images/403/9077.html?1080606904

I contacted the seller about it after asking if they could reply with the serial number information, but they said they couldn't find any.

The box looked factory done.  If so, how many did Alembic make?  There may have been several made and scattered around.  Where is the seller located?  The auction just disappeared out of My eBay view, so I could not check.  It should have been listed in things I 'Didn't Win,' but isn't.  Curiouser and curiouser . . . yet again.  No harm checking, though.

Found it.  The seller is from Bellingham, Washington.  If this is the stolen one listed, makes me wonder who might have sold the F-2B on eBay?  Not much unique about one of those.

If you go to the e-bay listing and click on view seller's other items , you will see that he is also seling a LINE 6 BASS POD PRO RACK.  Then go to the above-referenced club thread and you will see that a BassPod pro (sn (21) BPP1A5112000539) was also stolen.  Two identical stolen items, both from Bellingam?  Looks awful suspicious to me.

The dual aspect caught my eye, and then the bass pod equipment really inclined me to suspect and then the location being the same.  It just is too close to the missing items not to be curious about it somehow being the same equipment.  I hope Chris doesn't get tagged with the insurance company follow up.

Where is Bob or the Sherrif when you need them? - OK, get a rope and we'll try him right after the hanging!  It does not look promising.  If someone has contact info for the original owner, he should be gotten ahold of to check this out.  Best to check and find things out first, then hang em all!

Note:  I am joking here Marccus.  Good eye Adam and logic Bill!

BTW - Anyone contact the Belleview Police to investigate this matter?  Is that an Alembic function?

I called Valentino right after I grew suspicious and showed him what I was talking about via the web,  I tried contacting Frank via the club contact but haven't heard anything...
I just think Marcus unfortunately might be the first honest person to come across the gear.

The seller might be honest, indeed.  This is not the first bass pod he has sold, either:

He might be (probably) like the pawn shop owner that ended up selling the stolen bass.  That person was honest and ended up selling it for the insurance company.  Same thing might happen here, and I will certainly not get in Chris' way should this happen.  It is his, as far as I am concerned.  Others, well he is on his own there.  I do hope this gets straightened out and all parties become happy campers, like in the case of Understated Elegance.

Looks like the same picture of the rack in his current sale of the bass pod.

Hey Adam.  That's strange, as he got positive feedback from the buyer on the first pod.  Maybe it was returned for some reason?  Maybe he is using the same pics from the first sale?  Curiouser, indeed.

Well, answers will filter down soon enough.  That is a given.
