Looking for a 5 or 6 string Europa/Orion
« on: November 17, 2004, 05:10:07 PM »
Howdy Gang,

I've searched high and low for a bass that plays note for note as well as an Alembic. Can't find it. So, I am looking for a 5 or 6 string Europa, or possibly an Orion. If you have one for sale, or know of one, please let me know. I will be buying in the month of December (the wife gave the go ahead!!!).

Thanks,

Alemboid

Just?  I was told it was sold six to eight months ago when I first emailed for info on it.  I checked in again a couple months after that to make sure because it was still listed and they finally agreed that maybe they should mark the listing as sold.  Who knows how long ago it actually was sold, maybe not even this year!

I know nothing more about the dealer, but they are slow to update their website, particularly to remove an item that is attracting potential customers.

Wow. I knew they were slow, but...that's ridiculous.
'Boid, I'll keep the peepers peeled.

Thanks,

I called BassAlone about that Europa before it was marked as sold- nice sucker punch! It was right in my price range. I've had the same experience with Bass Central, as not all their inventory that is sold is actually marked as sold.

Used is ideal for me, since the ol' bank account is still on the rebound from my MK Deluxe!

NJ guitar and bass lists a used Orion 5 on their inventory for cheap if that's a current listing.

They're even worse...if you want an Exploiter for list price they're your boys but somehow I doubt that.

Hi Jeff,

Your bass is beautiful. I'll keep it in mind- as I will be buying around mid / late December. Is that a bubinga top?

Hi Ed,

My computer blew up! I'm on a friends system now, and it may be a couple of days before I have access to my system. I'll try and bring it up on this system.

Thanks,
