Hi Bill,

Here are some questions for you...

What year is it?  Looks like early to mid '90's, but...

Is that a recessed straplock on bottom?

Who did the defret, and what are the slots filled with?

Is that flamed walnut?

Any more pics, especially of the fretboard?

Factory hardcase?

Thanks,

Charles

Unmistakably flame koa. Supposedly the factory favourite for fretless, although the ovals suggest this was fretted originally.

The bass was made in 1992.
The bottom straplock is recessed.
The fretlines are Maple. The defret was done after the bass left Alembic.
I?m not sure about the top, but it looks more like my old Koa Persuader than my Walnut Elan.
The hard case is a nice, but generic black tolex.
Please email me for high-res pictures. I?ll try to reduce a few more and post them here.
