Series I on Montreal Craiglist
« on: March 01, 2007, 07:19:22 AM »
I was just browsing through the local Craiglist and stumbled across this nice looking Series 1 4-string from 1976.  Owner is asking $3,500 Canadian (approximately $3,000 U.S.)

Just thought that I'd pass this along.

That bass has been posted for sale a few times. If all works as it's supposed to, that sounds like a fair deal.

Damn if that isn't the twin to 76-265.

It is my bass and it is a good deal.
I'd say 7/10 cosmetically checking and playerwear but the electonics, action and playability are perfect. I play mostly roots type music in small bars and don't do any recording. Seems like a waste of a great instrument. I'd prefer to sell locally in Montreal because shipping would be difficult. In it's case it weighs a lot. But if anyone is interested and has workable ideas I'm game.

Actually... I decided to bite the financial bullet and keep it. So what if the line of credit gives me shivers...the cool thing though was seeing the David Hood bass in the new Bass Player Retro column because mine is exactly the same build composition!
