What is the clarity and playability of the B-string like?
I would imagine quite floppy?

The B-string is not too floppy at all. I played the bass for the rock mass two weeks ago and it played and sounded great. I just got new short scale Alembic strings I have not put on yet. The string spacing at the bridge feels the same as my Series II V whatever that is. I was planning on selling my Mark King IV and this SC V because I was buying the Ziricote Series II. Since that deal fell through, I'm not sure where I'm going next.
