Ellery, your Excel  bass is awaiting clearance per tracking.
The Europa should be in Jersey Tuesday. Enjoy!

Arrived in Jersey safe and sound. Excellent set up. Can't wait to get it home and put it through its paces. Now to stop the urge to have it painted black and put in leds at the mothership. Its a disease I tells ya!

Arrived in Montreal also safe & sound.  The black is just stunning!  If I plugged it in now, I wouldn't be working this afternnon, at least on software that is. LOL

If the bass is black, does that mean it can only play Metal?  Oh no, Mr. Bill...

Yes only metal and songs in minor and diminished keys. I think you'll like the dual fatboy combo. I'm glad it worked out for us both and now you can play in the dark!

Hey Danno, you mentioned the dual fatboys on more than one occasion, but I didn't pay close attention to that as my Excel has 2 pickups, but not 2 fatboys.  Okay, so like the proverbial kid in the candy store, I just couldn't keep it in the case.  And wow, the 2 fatboys give the Excel a totally different signature; thicker would be the word I'd choose, but still an Excel.  Just wait till after hours tonight.  BB (Black Beauty) will be attached to an Eden WT-1205 with 2 cabs.

Have to change the way I slap a bit as I'm used to the standard 2 pickup Excel where the neck pickup is not a close to the neck.  I'm sure I'll survive the change.

Hope that you have as much fun (or perhaps more) with your newly acquired Europa.

This beast has a mind of its own!  The neck fatboy is sick; an Excel on steroids .  Danno, post something so I can stop feeling guilty that I stole it from you...LOL

I am extremely happy with the swap. The tone has all the elements I love in an Alembic. The condition is wonderful, all the nuances of technique come through crystal clear. It is also very gratifying that you are happy with the BB as you christened her. She is very powerful indeed. Be at ease for I have others in her family to crush stages with. Play in good health and Vive La Differance!
