Essence/S.C. Bass for sale
« on: July 24, 2010, 10:30:56 AM »
I'm having a new Alembic custom bass built and need to sell a few others to do so.
This is an Essence but the electronics are the only thing Essence about it. It even has a Q switch added.
Small standard Body, Mahogony with Flame Maple top
Short scale neck,(30.75) 5 pc 3 Maple, 2 Purple Heart
Crown Peghead
Ebony fingerboard
Originally built and still tuned as a tenor bass ADGC
Comes with hardshell case and 2 new custom sets of Alembic strings
Bass Is in mint condition, never played out, only used for recording at home, plays looks and sounds like new.
This is a great way to get a Stanley Clarke type bass with the sound of one for a little less money.
The only reason I'm selling it is to get a new Alembic built.
Let me know if your interested

I don't have that e-mail address anymore.
I'll update my profile.
And I forgot to mention this bass has a brass sustain block also.

This bass is still for sale. Its more of a Custom than an Essence. Looks and plays more like a Stanley Clarke. I will try to post some pictures ASAP.

What year is it, does it come with an Alembic hard shell case, and what are you asking for it?

It is a 2000 model but is in absolute brand new condition. It does come with a hardshell case.
I'm still trying to figure out the price.
Probably $3000.00 to $3500.00. I'm waiting to talk to Susan or Mica to find out what a fair price would be for it

I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow.
I'm sure alot more people will be interested if they see a picture. Bass is in pristine condition, like brand new. Sounds and looks great.
Wouldn't sell it except I'm having a Mark King Signature Deluxe Custom built.

Its still for sale. I recently tried tuning it EADG instead of ADGC and it plays great that way too. I'm not sure if I should keep it and leave it tuned that way and have the new bass built as a 35 scale 5 string or sell it and have the new bass built as a medium scale 4 string like the original plan and then get a new 5 string after that. I guess it'll depend if this gets sold which I have built first. But this is a great little bass, if you saw it and played it you would think its brand new. Not a mark on it and no wear. Very clean clear sound and really easy to play.
