Welcoming the newest addition to the family:
All of these basses are related in a way - the oldest is the Starfire I in the back right - similar to the basses that Alembic modified for Phil Lesh and Jack Casady, so obviously an influence on the Series I doubleneck back left. The fretless Guild M-85 front right is my newest - I've been wanting a short scale fretless, now I've got one! It's a development of the Starfire - it has Guild humbuckers instead of Bisonics (just over the cusp), the headstock shape is different, etc. The Epiphone Allen Woody front left belongs to my wife, and was clearly influenced by the Guilds (maybe even some Alembic influence, though not obvious).
Each instrument is also short scale - 30 (except the fretless neck on the doubleneck). I'm a step closer to restringing the 30 neck of the doubleneck in standard Bass VI tuning as I call it: EADGBE, though EADGCF might be interesting too.
Basically, an excuse to show off my new instrument - the light was inadequate, but it captures the moment...
