What a beautiful guitar! Why are you selling it, and more importantly why have you never played it?!

As Alembic primarily specializes in basses I have had little interest in this guitar. For those that are familiar with selling used instruments, would you have any advice or suggestions where I could go to list this guitar for sale? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kyle

Kyle, with the economy down you may have to take some time and effort to sell a $10,500 guitar - even though we understand it's a fraction of the new price.

Best bet may be to go on consignment at one of the more affluent guitar shops that deal in Alembics. G Guitars in CT and Bass Central come to mind. Both regularly have >$8000 instruments. Prepare for paying a 25% or more commission.

You might consider a partial-page ad in Guitar Player.

Listing fees for a $10,000 item on eBay can be expensive but that's an option. One idea would be to list it at fixed price (only a few dollars to do so) rather than bidding auction. You can set it to renew each month automatically without doing anything. Play it up and post lots of pictures or links to pictures. Plan on 15-25% in fees to ebay and Paypal. Be sure to price shipping carefully, insurance, etc. If you don't mind selling outside of the USA, list it that way, but make sure you specify which countries you will/will not ship or sell to.

It certainly is gorgeous. The right buyer should come along!
