I hope you don't mind me jumping in here for a quick note. In my view, there is nothing here worth further escalating this little disagreement. There is nothing here worth getting defensive about. It is entirely understandable that we react to what we may perceive to be slights, that we get defensive, that we respond. However, when we do that, it tends to make ourselves and others a bit irritable. Kind of a buzz kill. That's my view.
Despite our desire to be more diligent in moderating the forum, we as moderators don't want to go rushing in to quell every little disagreement or emotional flareup that occurs on the forum. It's difficult for us to know when to step in, and when not to. So in this case, we just wanted to post a little reminder, especially since there was a new member present, that each side here has made their point and there's no need to take it further.
