72 jazz bass for sale

Sort of pains me to do this, as Ive had this bass for a very long time, but the fact is I just no longer play it at all anymore and I could use the cash more than I can use an unplayed instrument.
 
As the title says, it is a 1972 jazz bass.  I replaced the bridge, pups, and added a drop D tuner but I have all of the original parts.
 
It also comes with what I think is the original case, although that  is not in the greatest shape.

if you were to re-install all the origional parts & pickups this puppy would easly fetch up to $4,500 or slightly more on the EBay you know!...........that is if no one here snatch's it up first!

hmmm...thanks Kevin.  The only thing that is not orginal is one of the pots....plus i think the pup cavity has been routed to accomadate the EMG's.
 
As far as ebay, I dont think I can use ebay. I tried  listing my phil jones suitcase over the weekend and was told I couldnt do so without an active paypal account...and due to some fraud i experienced earlier I no longer do paypal.
 
In any case, I guess the sale is on hold until I can research this furthur!

yep i would cause old fenders are Golden (worth thousands)for lots of musicians & you can always get an old origional pot re-installed......just dont tell the buyer!......do this look up old fenders on ebay & see what the highest prices are then start you bidding from there.

Is the Badass bridge countersunk into the body or just sitting on top of it?

also, just as FYI I said the pup cavities had been routed, they have not.  That was a typo, I  meant to say that I think the control cavity may have been routed to accomadate the batteries for the EMG's, although i am not certain of this.

well then those might be passive EMGs unless the batteries have been routed under the pickguard cover like on my jazz bass........this 1972 jazz bass below is going for $5,000 with no bids!

$5500 starting bid?  For that?  Sorry, it may be a rare bird, but it's not that rare.  My '73 with black blocks/binding is in better shape than that one, and I'd be lucky to get $3K for it, if that.  Then again, who knows?  The vintage market really confuses me sometimes.

Bring your bass to Brazil, put the original parts on, and you can easily get US$4000. Easily!
My old Distillate is for sale for US$4500, and that is a good price here...

Thanks kungfu....Im not sure what Im going to do at this point.  Im probably not going to be able to find the time to put the original parts back in, and ebay wont let me list anything without a paypal account (I refuse to get a paypal account due to fraud experiences).  Plus with ebay fees you take such a huge hit I really hate to use that service.
 
So in light of what Ive learned here Im tempted to just say that I am open to any offers....
