yeah and for the UK thats probably a good price.
Like you I was seriously having problems saving myself from bidding on it. But if I did I'd still want a Series I or II so its best that it went before i made a decision. :-)
I'm really looking to save my pennies for a Series I or II bass. But they don't really come up that often in the UK. Many of the ones I've seen are in the usa and are the older 1970's models which probably need the electronics upgrade which is probably an arm and a leg.
I think if the right model came in the USA , the way the pound to dollar rate is now, its probably gonna be a bargain, even if you travel to the states on a cheap flight to collect, and have a holiday as well. lol.
Thats what i'm hoping, although travelling there at the moment is probably quite risky.
Have you seen this place ?
http://ccgi.psstpsst.force9.co.uk/php/alembic.php or this one in Germany
http://www.station-music.de/bass/alembic.html I hope you manage to get one soon. They really are amazing. It's probably the only time that a dream and its reality are the same.
