Helping friend, tech and teacher
« on: February 01, 2006, 03:31:59 AM »
Hi Bro's,

(with my apologies for the bro's and sis's over the pond but this will be a mere EU business)

I am not in the market for anything new right now but for those who do:
- Koen my former bass teacher (ex-BIT trainee) sells his two basses (he moved to classical guitar ...you know ...something thin-six-string-ish). I can get pictures this afternoon.
The guy brought me back into bassplaying about 18 years ago. He sells two gorguous Collier basses (Belgian builder), 1 fertted and 1 fretless. Fantastic graphite set neck. Sound likes Statusses. BEAU-TI-FULL exotic woods. 1350? each 2500 ? if you get the two.
- My amp tech Gie (he took REALLY care of my F1-X) is selling a brand new Fender Jazz bass fretless. It is the model where u can push the pot and the two PU are mixing together in a humbucking way so getting this thicker Precision sound, asks 1200 ? with case.
For those two ...I can get you in contact.
- FOr those of you who are lookiong for starting to play power-amp and pre-amp: there is a FANTASTIC HEVOS 800a on the second hand market. 2x800watt in 4 ohms. Hand made in Holland (some members of this club have the speakers of HEVOS) and SPECIALLY conceived for bass-playing. Is out of production since two years but ...well ...Drool.
I can financially not do it but also ...the beast has a wheight of more or less 16 k's and ...well I sold my Dynacord L-1000 for the reason that he weighted that much ...
Anyway this guy is Belgium davy.govaerts@village.uunet.be sells this amp for 1200?.
As THE poweramp for bassplayers I thought ...let's communicate!

This is the fretless. On this bass I set my first paces into fretless playing!
Barts and 2way EQ (concentric knobs) and the volume/pan are concentric
The wood is amazing but I don't know what it is.
They calles it pommel? but that is the french word for the type of figuring, not for the type of wood.

The picture quality is poor but it was a quicky with my daughters small digital thing.
