The Series I I used to own (a '75 model) weighed in around 12 pounds. It had a maple body core, a lacewood top, and a peroba rosa back. It was a long scale with the Standard Point body shape.

The weight of Alembics tends to be highly variable depending on the woods and the body shape chosen.

My 1972 Alembic weighs 7.8 pounds.

My 1981 Alembic weighs exactly 11 pounds

Same body shape, but different woods are used.  The 1981 also has a graphite neck.

Thanks to all! My bass believe or not is still on ebay! That was one of the questions. It is listed at $2900 or best offer! I will relist it and possibly let it ride out at $2900.00 the rest of the way. Unless I increase it again. Thanks again fellas!

Nick; West Virginia is on the East side of the country.  It can be a bit confusing since it has West in its name.
