Boy this hurts... but the economy finally beat me down.
I'm selling my 1981 Distllate with factory HSC. I bought it used about 12 years ago at a local GC. The top is flame koa, the body is mahogany and the neck is maple with purpleheart lams. The wood by the input jack is cracked, but hasn't worsened since I bought it. The filter circuit is touchy (will bark if rotated rapidly) but slow moves don't bother it.

It was a working man's (doofus') bass and has seen some rough use in the past from the previous owner. There's a hologram eye glued to the headstock and the brass backplate had a little piece cut to allow the power leads to come out (since returned to normal battery operation). I've installed blue FretFX leds, which can be removed.

The bass is equipped with straplocks and a wide black Alembic strap.
I'll include a spare set of Tomastic Infeld Jazz Flats and the original strap pins. I'd prefer to sell locally (Chicagoland), or else the buyer must pay for packing and shipping. I'm asking $1500 obo.
Also must sell my 1973 Guild Starfire II bass in natural mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard.

I ordered this wired in stereo from the Guild factory in 1972, and will include two y-cords (1/4' rts - 2 standard 1/4). I also had the frets removed in 2000 and replaced with maple ghost frets. The original case is in very rough shape, held together with black duct tape. Again, I'd prefer to sell locally, or else the buyer must pay for packing and shipping. I'm asking $1500 obo.

Thanks for looking,
