I still use a Sony DSC-F717 (with a 2002 date code!) for all the pictures on the website and Club updates. When the CCD broke (replaced under warranty, thank you very much, Sony!), I bought 2 backups on ebay. It's only 5 MP, but the sensor is actually quite large, and the lens is great. Except that the glass is huge, I can't say enough good things about my trusty camera.

While under repair, I purchased a different Sony camera, and it had horrible chromatic aberration plus purple and green fringing on any highlights (like frets and strings), so it had to go.

I also use a couple of large diffusers and a  Manfrotto monopod to reduce motion blur, and natural light. I'm going to be adventuring into some studio lighting in the near future.

Canon 400D SLR with an EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens.

Does everything I need it to do, so far.
