I really like my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30. It is an older model, but the newer ones are even better. Lieca lens and very good image stabilization so you almost never need a flash.  The Centerfold

A nice shot of a Newt in the Marin Headlands.

There's a $50 toll for crossing this bridge.  Cash please.

That newt should be adapted into a fingerboard inlay - he's so cute!

Wow, and I thought I was going off thread. Things can move pretty fast round here for us country folk. I love mica's idea. Maybe... if I can come up with an extra 10 or 12k. I think I might have an addiction. Mario, I think we should start our own thread.

Wow, Mathew, great photos.
Loved the newt, seems capable of fingering some big intervals with those little hands.

*(just to not say again I consider this mahogany dark bass one of the finest!).
Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!

Those are Optima strings, I think it's from the same company (?)

Sorry I forgot to answer in the showcase section, so here it is: I normally use R.Cocco strings, I think the Optima strings have about the same lifespan. Sound is ok, but hey... even shoelaces will sound awesome on an Alembic :-)
