Alembic Centerfolds!

What model and make camera(s) do you use to take pictures of your Alembic(s)?
 
Any recommendations?

I use a Fuji FinePix S5200 with no flash.

Ever since I been taking pictures with the Lumix DMC-LX3, the pictures of my Alembic is breath taking.
 
Also, before I trouble shoot an issue(s), or make enhancements to the electronics components of my basses, I archive everything with digital photos first.  
 
Its better to look, and study the picture(s) than to keep opening up your bass to dust and lint...
 
Also, (from a digital perspective),
a great camera these days are in the (+10) mega pixels, and with auto focus capabilities to see very small things, in vivid details.  
 
Something also to consider:
Camera's with sound and motion picture options (Movie/Video files)...
 
Movie/Video also brings a more human element to any forum, it might be cool for members to video clip their issues.  
 
Just a thought... We might need to have a area here for our music issues...

Hmm I think most of the digital camera's around today should be fine depending on how blown  up you want the photo.
I used to have a Nikon D50 SLR which I used for most of them. I sold that this year and now use either the 5mp Sony Ericsson mobile phone for quick pix or my Kodak DCS Pro SLR camera for high resolution pics.
I'm hoping we get enough good weather to take some pics of all my guitars outside this summer.

Video clips are way beyond the upload guidelines of 150KB or less for imagery.

Yes, that may be true today, but in the future -- next of real-time exchanges via motion, and streaming video; the space requirements will eventually disappear.
 
150KB is quite a bit small for video/sound.

Hey Mario! How's the Afro-funk coming along? I too use a Sony Cybershot. Great camera. It can be used in auto function as well as manual. It takes ratio shots and HD. Great video as well. I think I paid $400 for it.

Nick, we're now rehearsing Antonio Carlos & Jocafi's old material from the 70s to do a big show next October. Our idea is to bring their repertoire to contemporary context - not just to copy their material, but re-arranging them and use it to clear more brazilian's cultural african roots in near future.
 
This two guys tried to relate their samba-do-reconcavo roots with afro-beat and some psichadelic vibe from those days. Samba-do-Reconcavo is a traditional way to do the Samba from Bahia (where most people are afro descendant who professes the umbanda religion - similar to santeria - and cultivates yourubah language until today), that means this is one of the most african orientated brazilian traditional musical forms alongside Tambor-de-Crioula, Jongo and some other. So all this mixing was a very natural idea to them and is also a very good foundation to our musical quest in updating these less known traditional forms as the forementioned Jongo (wich many people never heard about today, even in Brazil).  
 
To be honest, we're not really deep into African music. Our goal is just to learn how they brought their traditional forms to a more contemporary feel and instrumentation. The idea is to get inspired by their solutions and do the same on our traditional styles. Afro-beat is something parallel to our concerns as it would take a life to understand in depth all its aspects, but I'm really enjoing discover this musical universe. They are very inspirational and, of course, their bassists knows how to shake ground.  
 
* My personal aim is to learn their tricks to groove better and - if I really worth something - try to bring some Bootsy feel to all this.
