Long scale - 34.  If it had been a medium scale, I would have already purchased it from Trevor.

I looked over this one too.  It was gone in a flash and probably would not have suited me since it's long scale, but why do beauties like this ALWAYS appear just after one makes another purchase?

Extremely nice :-)

There's a somewhat unscientific method to see if this model is long or medium scale.
On longscale basses the bridge is between the volumeknobs, on mediumscale the bridge is next to the neck volume knob.
Alembic = custom so It's no set rule, but that method has always worked out well for me to determine the scale length from pictures.

Good observation FC I will remember that.
I love the dramatic wood grain on that bass.
The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!

She's real pretty. And how does she sound compared to your other basses, Sonofa?

Brian, did you get a 32 shorty or is it a 34?

This bass sounds great.  It has the traditional Series sound with no dead spots, weak strings, or thin tone.  This bass has a very solid and strong low end, and some nice clarity on top.  Compared to my other basses, it is just a solid.  I like the non Series basses as a rule since they are plug and play, have a slightly more transparent high end, and sound a little more contemporary, but this bass sounds way more fat, and in a live situation, it cuts through the mix extremely well?better than a non Series.  I decided to offer this bass instead of another because it is worth a lot more, and will be a great bargain for someone wanting the top of the line.
