Alembic P Bass setup, PUPs & controls. No knobs, working fine. The pickups show signs of some use, with small cracks on a couple mounting posts. The posts are fine as long as you do not reef on them with a torque wrench like a head bolt. A great upgrade for a non-Alembic bass $300 plus $8 shipping, Paid using PayPal, Mailing to be to USA locations using a USPS.

These things will pull satellites out of Low Earth Orbit. They would make the deadest, droopiest P-Bass into an earthmover. If you can live with the cosmetics, a STEAL.

These dark tone pickups really aren't all that bad looking. I photographed them using a Gary Fong diffuser on my flash in order to bring out all the flaws, so the potential buyer can see exactly what they look light in a bright light! They are a little dirty in the 'Alembic' logo area too.

Can these be installed with no modifications to a Fender P-bass?
Or is routing required for the 9v battery?

You have to do a routing for the battery in the typical Fender.

There are other options to routing for the battery. There is usually room under the pick-guard for a battery. The downside is that you have to remove the pick-guard to replace the battery. The upside is that a 9v lasts a LONG time on Alembic non-series electronics. Mine usually go more than a year. Another alternative is Fishman's Universal rechargeable battery. Only requires a small hole (1/2 diameter) drilled in the pick-guard for mounting the mini USB charging connector.

It depends on the year. I had a 2011 P [60TH anniversary year] and the 9 volt fit.I just got a 2015 P and I had to do some sanding to the cavity. No big deal as it's all under the pick guard ,but some might have a problem in a Vintage bass. Don't forget to use copper tape to shield the cavity....best way I know of how to hide the sanding I did ! I get everything from a Ric type sound to a super clear Motown P bass thump from mine.
