I'm not sure of the history on this bass but I have read a bit about it upon this site

If you dig through the archives, you will see several such scam auctions have been attempted with this instrument.  It's not a legitimate auction.

I like how there are 5 bids from the same person........Woody 714

I should Email the seller and ask them to provide me with the Serial # so I can verify it with Alembic...........LOL

Do these moronic scammers even realize the word has been out about this bass for quite sometime ?

sheesh !!

Hey, why don't we all e-mail E-Bay and let them know about this scammer! Or how about this

To report a fraudulent Ebay listing go here.  (You will need to be signed in.)  Choose Listing Violations.  Then Fraudulent Listings.  Then You Suspect a Listing is Fraudulent.  Then Continue.  Then Email.  Then enter the item number from the top right hand corner of the listing.  Then Send.

My guess is that the more messages they get about a particular listing, the more likely it will get a response.

In this particular case, it seems possible that the seller's identity has been stolen.

It occurs to me that if the owner ever actually wants to sell the Conqueror on ebay it will probably go really cheap as no one will believe it's for real.  The Boy Who Cried Wolf syndrome.  LOL

Bill; the owner has voiced the same concern.
