I actually did a Country gig in a Bar that had a chicken wire cage around the stage ,I think it was in the early to mid 1980's .The replacement substitute  drummer in that band was awful!. Once in a while he would drop a beat in 4/4 ;so I used to refer to him as  the Three Lagged Dog. He was buddies with the leader of the band so he was hard to get rid of .I remember waiving my Bass neck up and down with the beat when that happened so that he could fall back into sync. The only reason that I keep playing in that band was because the leader had good connections and good gigs _ for the most part anyway, and I was single  at the time  and would  meet  some really  nice Ladies from  time to time at those gigs .
