What being a member of the Alembic Club means to me...

Same here for me... The Bag End gathering was only 20 minutes away and maybe 10 miles! I also had the privelige to be able to play that SC with the Buckeye top through that awesome system and meet with Mica and other instrument owners. These experiences along with the factory to customer, showcase and other sections of the forum have given me the tools to plan and develop my own custom order for an Alembic instrument I\m now considering.
2023 Mark King 5 String, Buckeye Burl via Will Gunn Guitars. With added 5-pin jack
2011 Series Custom Sans Filter 4 String: Coco Bolo
1989 Elan 6 String: Bubinga
1981 Distillate: Purpleheart Top

I love being part of this club, and having an Alembic; I am so lucky to have my dream bass...every time I play a show people gush over my sound...and trust me, it's the bass. Funny thing though, a friend tried my bass at practice this week who's a really good bass player through my rig and he sounded totally different from me; way more notes, but cleaner sounding...then I picked it up and it sounded like a peoplechipper,as usual...I guess it is in the hands to some degree...

Anyway, I love the fact that I can feel like a full participant here even though I'm likely the most musically ignorant member here...one day maybe I'll meet some of you, and untill then be well and enjoy this semi-secret club/cult that we share...Tony
