i've posted a question to the seller regarding the obvious decals and leaving him/her enough room to tell the truth and admit they're decals or lie. which option will seller take? anyone want to guess? my guess is seller will fail to address the decal issue in any manner or form. also, please note that as of a few minutes ago, my question has not posted at the bottom of seller's ad. anyone want to take bets on whether my question joins the other 2? i'll bet not. in my question, i mentioned that decals seriously undermine the value of the bass due to replacement costs. i love cross-examination. it's why i became a lawyer.

Post where Mica mentions the decal logo:

I suppose it's too much to ask a paralegal to do your Alembic searches...   ;)

not sure why you're dissing me on this, but i read that post a long time ago. does that decal look like the one on the bass in question? i guess you have issues. i wasn't trying to be egotistical. i've been a lawyer 26 years. i love cross. i wouldn't trust a paralegal to do cross either!

btw, he just responded that if i know so much then why did i ask that question. if i knew what i was talking about i would know all alembics came that way back then and that i should know that this came with a decal because it was a cheap alembic. those are his words, honest to god, not mine!

That's got the original Spoiler decals - that's my mom's handwriting for the word Spoiler under the Alembic script.

To some people, this would be even more valuable since it's so rare. It's not even an available option anymore. Others have had us remove the decal and replace it with a cast logo. To each his own, eh?

Q:  Why do lawyers wear expensive shoes?

A:  They taste better!

;-)

Don't feel too bad, Pat; I could have made the same mistake, too.  Tom's link is where the decal is mentioned, but the photo is of a different logo altogether.

No dis, just joking, my bad...  I figured enough work was done at courthouses with a wink and a grin that a lawyer would get it.

I agree that this should be more valuable as a result of the decals.  How many of those can there be out there?  This one looks like it's in good shape, too.  The hardware looks shiny and it has nice flamed neck wood!

With the price escalation in the past year or two, this even looks fairly reasonable at the buy now price.

I agree, the price looks fair...too many words in that auction...whew.

I bet that logo would look great in a blacklight.

Yes, lawyers can have a sense of humor.

What do you call 1000 lawyers face down in Lake Michigan?

A good start!

A man walks into a lawyer's office and requests that the lawyer prepare a simple will.  The lawyer agrees and quotes a fee of $100.  The man hands the lawyer a crisp new $100 bill and leaves.  After the client has left, the lawyer realizes that there are actually two new $100 bills stuck together.  This creates an ethical question for the lawyer:

Should he tell his partner?

Guys, don't give Pat a hard time.  His reaction is understandable - he used to be a prosecutor!  LOL (Inside lawyer joke).

Pat:  I just noticed the picture you put up on your profile.  Very nice family portrait.  I can see why you look so happy!

Bill, tgo

Bill, I thought the answer to the first one was Too little, too late.

Heck, I always thought prosecutors were the good guys.  At least, the ones I've had the pleasure to have known have been.
