In the last paragraph, Mica says that it was a fun project; and I can certainly see why it would be!

Too bad Dethklok's Skwisgar Skwigelf is a Gibson endorser.  Alembic could certainly build something more out there than his plain ol'Goth Explorer and this proves it.

More proof that the Mothership can build anything, no matter how crazy the design, and do it with style.

Tenacious D rules.  I recommend checking out the live concert DVD from around 2003...Kyle Gass is a pretty technically proficient guitarist and Jack Black, who has obviously become much more famous since the TD halcion days of the '90's and early '00's, is an incredible frontman with good vocal range.

Suggested tracks:  Wonder Boy and Tribute

And, I believe that the positioning of the TD guys with the neck of the guitar and the shape of the headstock is meant to possibly represent (ahem...) potency.  Am I right about this, mothership?

Oh, and hifiguy, I'm catching Dethklok in concert (opening for Mastodon) in Tulsa next month.  Although, I'm not sure if there will be actual flesh-and-blood guys on the stage or perhaps a cartoon concert?  Should be interesting at any rate.

i saw deathklok  last year and it was just the drummer and a guitar player/singer.. or there might have been another guy singing.. dont really remember. either way, if you listen to the music on the show it's just guitar and drums with some octave effect thrown in. fun show, though.

They did have a full band with Mike Kineally on the first tour. Also from time to time he uses fill in musicians from the School of Rock.
