Alembic Logo on E-Bay
« Reply #1 on: December 16, 2005, 09:39:52 PM »
This is the third one I've seen on Ebay, there was a post here on the club somewhere when the 2nd one was up, I think a club member and or Mica contacted the seller and asked them to pull the auction,  I think the seller was an Alembic owner and /or  club member and graciously pulled the auction, returned the logo to Alembic and was given a $$$ credit if I recall correctly.

I think it would make a nice necklace tho, but it would be in very poor taste to even think about putting it on an instrument other than a REAL Alembic.

oh and I think there also was an Alembic jewelry logo up recently as well.......

...should not be purchased to stick onto any non-Alembic guitar. Well, what else would many weirdos do with it ? Stick it onto their microwave or fridge ??? I hope this will be removed soon from ebay. I really get angry when I see those *?&% auctions, makes me sick...

The seller pulled the auction :-(

I purchased a 78 Series I a couple of months ago. It is missing the logo. I'd sure like to pick up a logo for my Series I. Mica said I'd have to ship my bass to the factory to get one. I'm in Canada it's -25 here and I really don't want to subject my baby to shipping in the winter plus I don't think I could do with out my Series I now.

In the late 70's my logo was coming off my Series I, so I had my luthier remove it and do a pearl inlay and made the sterling silver logo into a necklace so I'm aways wearing  my Alembic around my neck.

The fact that the seller ended the listing is a good thing.  As the seller suggested in the listing, we don't need logos being available on Ebay.
