That's a monster bass and right up my alley, but I will be shocked if it doesn't find its way to the wrong side of $3000...

Are we confident this is a legit auction? The guy can't even spell Alembic.

Frank , welcome to the club.
Nice instrument.  Folks around here are somewhat 'gunshy' of eBay, and while you can get a good deal on a great ax there, there are also MANY good reasons for caution.
Good luck all.

There's got to be a story behind that name.

Good luck with the auction.  I was drooling over it yesterday.

It went for $5202. Not sure if it's a Club member or not...I'd guess no.

That is a good number for that bass - but then it's essentially short scale for a 5er - a rare bird.

hey it was a good price, but its real nice  i will miss the bass, shhipped today  already kind of sad, I loved it but was kind of afraid to use it. so it just sat in case for years. the guy that bought it said he wanted an alembic for 25 years,,,hope he has 25+ years of enjoyment out of it.
