I found this whilst looking at some basses on this site. I know there have been lots of discussions about good and really good cables for alembics.
Maybe this is a good place to start.

I just made a cable with that setup.  It is great!  I used the Neutrik silent connector with Canare cable.  I didn't realize these were being sold ready made.

too bad they are in germany  
these better than monster cables?

Yes, I'd like to know also.  I'd buy an Alembic cable in a Hartbeat (Micky ref)
