Three Alembics at The Lowend Bass Shop
« on: July 19, 2007, 04:57:38 AM »
Whilst browsing their used basses section I noticed an Orion Baritone, an Epic 5-string and a Rogue 5-string with LED's.  If you're in the market for a used Alembic, The Lowend is pretty fair to deal with.   http://www.thelowend.net/thelowend/index.htm

If I had the cash I'd go for that Rogue.

There is a 4th Alembic there.

On down the list is a 1980 Series I long scale listed for $4,500.

bah... He apparently sent the beautiful Distillate Explorer 8-string overseas.  I don't like him anymore...

The S1 is mine and the price is negotiable. on the description it states there is no power supply, but there is. It's the ol' blue box and of course the bass plays and sounds great.

I got to play that 5 string Rogue yesterday. Plugged it into a Glockenlang amp(can't remember the model)e.q. set flat into a Schroeder 2x10 and 1x12. This is one smoking bass, somebody needs to get it.

With a 345 scale length, I'm thinking strings might be hard to find.
