Chicago Guitar Show
« on: September 08, 2007, 01:12:13 PM »
I just found out yesterday there was another one this weekend. The last was in May. Stopped by today. Same stuff as last time - more Fender Custom Shops than you could shake a stick at. Lots of nices basses though, However, there was one guy with 4 Alembics, which is quite rare. I didn't get years or prices b/c my daughter was getting bored (as was I) by then. He had an Orion 6 string guitar (quilted maple), a 4 string SC (maybe coco maybe walnut), an Exploiter (bird's eye maple I think) and one more, either an Essence or Epic. (I was on call last night and only got 5 hours of sleep). So anyone in the Chicago area looking for a bass has 3 to choose from. There was also a Simmon's vendor there with these beautiful looking basses from $800-1400. Don't know about the quality, but they sure are pretty for the price.

Regards,

Jonathan
