You have to use the upload attachment button next to the preview/post message and upload the pics from your computer.

Glad you grabbed it- beautiful top and I love the maple reveal on the elbow contour.

I like the Alembic PJ setup- I had a custom Elan built with the PJ setup and Elan bodystyle- it's my favorite.

The Flame Maple on yours Tbrannon is just killer. I was also looking at a spoiler in the swap forum with the crazy burl maple top but I really am most comfortable with the PJ setup; though I don't know why, I've never played an Alembic humbucker bass.
Smitty kept heading south with the price and I was supposed to unload a couple of guitars first but I just couldn't resist. I feel very fortunate to have grabbed an Elan at this price.

I almost went for it but the condition of the finish scared me off. Someone hasn't treated it kindly. Still, welcome to the family !!! Maybe I'm too picky... just call it personal preference.  Congrats!!!

My only perfect guitar is my PRS. And I don't play it. Ha! I hate to derail my own thread but I always move my belt buckle one loop to the right side when giging.

I know what you're saying. Lucky for me , I have some gut that shields my buckles. ( ha -ha !!! )
But seriously ... I try to take care of all my basses like they were brand new. Again, It's just my way. Enjoy and play hearty.

I have a five-string Elan with the P+J setup, and for me, the combination is perfect for Fender-style pickups.  Of course the J-Activator is a stack/humbucker, so you don't have to sweat that 60-cycle buzz you could find in this combination with other pickups.  For me there's nothing like that P pickup fullness with that aft pickup tone from a J, it's just way better for me than double J's.

Plus I just LOVE to wave it under somebody's nose while they're explaining to me why they bought a Sadowsky or a Lull or a Lakland or a . . . .  There's lots of good neo-Fenders out there, but I always prefer a neck-thru, and I'm a hopless homer for Alembic.

Hope you enjoy it !

This is the detail that set the hook for me. The contour at the thru neck body junction.

Folks, you can't do that with a bolt neck or set neck.
