Pink Floyd posters from Dark Side..
« on: January 02, 2011, 05:26:52 AM »
Having just been in the attic to get the Xmas decoration boxes I was diverted to looking at my old LP collection when I found the original posters which were included in PF's 'Dark Side of the Moon'
They are still folded and undamaged, I also found the poster that was included in Black Sabbath's 'Master of Reality' album.
Do you think are worth any thing..not that I am going to sell of course but you never know if the price was right

ill buy them from you.
itll only be worth a fraction of what it is without the records. note that the record and its sleeve would also have to be in pretty good condition for you to get anything substantial
let me know

Unfortunately the album went missing years ago..I have searched all over for it much to my massive disappointment as all my vinyl is in exceptional condition.

If your attic is anything like my attic in Summertime then all your vinyl is worthless now anyway. Heat KILLS LPs

Those sound very cool! I have the reproduction of the Sabbath one from the CD version, and I had the Japanese version of Dark Side, though I stuck mine on the wall and then lost it...

I had a friend who worked at a record store (Amoeba in Berkeley, CA) - I had been given an old copy of George Harrison's All Things Must Pass LP set with the box, poster, everything. I asked how much it might be worth - he said only $20 or so! Apparently the only things that are worth tons of money (hundreds to thousands of dollars?) are original pressings of rare albums like the Beatles's butcher cover - stuff like that.

Keep those things, pass 'em on to your children or friends for investment down the line - in 50 years, who knows???

I still have my dark side posters too so it'll be interesting to find out if they're worth anything. I mentioned on another thread that I still have my tour programme from the Wish you were here tour. Cost all of 15 pence (30 cents back then) but I saw one on ebay recently going for over ?100!.

edit - that price was in december - there's one on ebay now with a ?4.99 BiN)

edit 2.... it's a reproduction. Doh!
