Inside-out Brown Bass
« on: December 16, 2010, 07:34:47 PM »
Kris and I have been lobbying for this forever. We finally got to get one started!!!

We were calling it "inside-out" since the Myrtle is on the top and back and the Walnut is in the core. This will be in our showroom.  Maybe next time I'll get to do the neck inside out too: Walnut outside pair, Birch laminates and a Mahogany center laminate.   Fun!

Very cool (and fun). I\ll bet it will have a real warm sound/tone to the instrument with the walnut core/neck recipe; - but pure Alembic: the Myrtle looks to have a flame effect to the figure, bottom half of the body.

Looking forward to the Showroom Basses page.

That is going to be real nice!  You should go all out and make it a Series.

The little critter still has a tail . It would be novel to give it a little point at the bottom . It might be cute. I like the Series idea too . A Little Pointed  Series Brown Bass maybe?     Fun _____

I like that.  Series with a tail sounds like a winning combination as well.  Fantastic.

Three of these things belong together
Three of these things are kinda the same
But one of these things is not like the other...

It's the inside out Brown Bass with a little bit of oil on it!

2 things. I love walnut bodied basses and I miss my Brown bass terribly!

Cant wait to see more pics on this one.
