I so prefer the standard string spacing, otherwise it's a beauty.  It's actually not ery different from your old Distillate in terms of features.

I wonder what it would take for Alembic to replace the custom inlay with a regular one to match the other inlays...  Mica?

This seems like a great bass for a high C 5 string tuning...

In the Bid History it lists me as o***n to protect me from the evils of the black market.  Quick Andy, bid on this sucker, so I don't end up having to shell out $2,500 for it.  It does bother me a bit that the quote generated on the page is not for this bass.  A 'quick pick' deficit from the list is that the bass definitely does not have a cocobolo back on it.  Then again, he started the bidding low enough, and buyer beware, its on eBay.

Hello-

Yeah, I noticed the false Coco Bolo back line item as well on the quote...  It looks like a great bass, I just wish the custom inlay wasn't there.  I am waiting for a full response to my question that he posted about the exact condition of the bass.  Pending his response, I may bid...  But $2500 is a fair price, IMHO.
